Pearl Street Linalool

Description:

Linalool is one of the prized aromatic compounds that give hops their essence. We discovered a wild, Wisconsin hop that contains about two and a half times more linalool than any commercial variety - and brewed this beer with them. Enjoy a unique aroma with the notes of lilac, pear and bruised apple, along with a pleasant bitterness. Unlike other hoppy beers, the aromatics will develop over time, becoming more pungent and changing form. You’ll be wild about it.

Pearl Street Shitty Lyte Beer

Description:

For 18 years our Brewmaster has always answered this question with, “We don’t make shitty light beer”. And we never did. Then someone said that we couldn’t do it. Well that was a challenge, and when it comes to beer, we love challenges.

How did we take the traditional American Light Mega-Lager and make it better? Easy. We made it fresher. For starters, we use fresh local ingredients. Unlike the others, this isn’t pasteurized either. This allows the pure clean flavor to shine through. We use a single strain of clean lager yeast and cold ferment it. Good water helps too, and La Crosse has some of the best water in the best beer state in the country.

Pearl StreET Downtown nut brown

Description:

An all-malt American Brown Ale with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma comes predominantly from the malt with a hint of the spiciness of imported British hops. Seven distinct specialty malts are milled at the brewery and mashed together, providing a complex, nutty flavor with subtle, roasted undertones. This Pearl Street original is a favorite amongst locals and professional beer judges alike. Gold Medal Winner at the World Beer Championships, 2003. Available on draught year ‘round.

Meet our newest addition to the Pearl Street family! Our first-ever IPA is brewed for the hop lover, with over two-and-a-half pounds of our favorite hops per barrel. Selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities, the hops contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, tangerine, and floral notes. A big all-malt bill is not watered down with honey or other sugary adjuncts. This could be the most well-balanced IPA you’ve tried yet!

Pearl Street Pale Ale

Description:

A well-defined hop flavor and aroma distinguish this classic beer. American-Style Pale Ales are amongst this country's most distinctive brews. Few beer drinkers can pass up the flowery, slightly dry yet full-bodied flavor of this popular beer. Four separate additions of British hop varieties mingle in the brew kettle to create it’s intriguing and assertive hoppiness, and the age-old "dry-hopping" method using our own locally grown hops during fermentation tops Pearl Street Pale Ale off with spicy and floral hop aromatics. Silver Medal Winner at the World Beer Championship, 2003.
